This design-build project replaced the existing concrete marina float system with four new floats (one 36-foot, one 72-foot, one 132-foot, and one 336-foot in length) that meet current float technology standards. The new floats are the same dimensions and layout as the existing floats and utilize composite gratings for the deck.  Easily accessible utilities were incorporated under the deck grating. New concrete-type floats were used for the short 36-foot main float in the south float area, and for the 120-foot main float in the north float area. All floats were supplied with complete connection hardware, hinges, and rub boards installed.  New cleats were designed and installed in lieu of reusing the old cleats.  The floats were shipped as fully sub-assembled sections ready for final connection and on-site installation.  The project required installation of a new water line and high pressure compressed air service to the new floats along with electrical service.  Area lighting was also installed.
