Hydrant Fueling

Nova is considered an expert in constructing systems to fuel and de-fuel large aircraft. These systems are comprised of either above or below ground fuel storage tanks, a pump house containing sophisticated pumps, control valves and filters, fuel distribution pipe and refueling stands in the vicinity of the aircraft. The fueling stands consist of either a loading arm or a below ground metal or fiberglass "hydrant" fuel pit.

The construction of these systems is normally managed for the Air Force by either the U.S. Army Corps of Engineers or the Naval Facilities Engineering Command.
