A Long Lasting and Economical Pre-Insulated Piping System for Above Ground, Concrete Trench and Under Pier Applications
Patented USA Canada Patent Pending
Containment Piping For:
- District Heating and Cooling
- Process
- Geothermal
- Steam
- Hot Water
- Cryogenic
- Chilled Water
- Cogeneration
The Glarefiber System uses filament wound fiberglass reinforced casing providing the best barrier against water intrusion, corrosion, and physical abuse.
- Tough
Provides safe, efficient transportation of fluids and gases from cryogenic temperatures to 600 PSIG and 750 degrees F or higher (special configuration required for higher than 750 degrees F). - Resistant
Can take rough handling and is not easily susceptible to physical damage. - Durable
Withstands corrosion and is water resistant. The outer jacket is completely inert, and will not corrode. Dependable under the most rigorous conditions. - Unique Design
Computer ANSI B31.1 stress analysis, structural analysis, and thermal analysis of every project for exact insulation sizing required. Designed for optimum energy savings, thermal efficiency, and constructability. - Complete Easy Installation
Totally engineered and manufactured system with loops, ells, tees, gland seals (optional), anchors, and field joint material. Eliminates costly field fittings. - True Economy
Competitive price, quality material, easy installation, reduced energy costs, little or no maintenance or repair costs. - Quality
Professionally engineered and factory fabricated to give our customers the quality and performance required. - Environmentally Compatible
Option of colors for above-ground application. Class I fire rating available for FRP casing for refinery or plant applications. - Efficiency
Excellent heat loss performance, as compared to field insulated piping systems. Reduces operating expenses. Glarefiber’s design is the result of an extensive research and development process. Because of Glarefiber’s increased thermal efficiency, less heat is lost throughout the distribution system, thereby saving substantial energy costs. - Applications
The Glarefiber System is ideally suited for concrete trench, in-plant, above-ground, or under pier thermal distribution systems. It can also be used in buildings, refineries, and mechanical rooms.
Features
General
NOVA designs and manufacturers Glarefiber pre-insulated conduit complete with all necessary loops, expansion devices, ells, tees, gland seals, anchors, and other appurtenances as necessary, to ideally suit the requirements of the intended application.
Conduit
Glarefiber’s conduit is composed of a multidirectional tension direct filament wound fiberglass reinforced polyester resin (FRP) jacket which encases the insulation.
Expansion Loops and Joints, Elbows, and Eccentric Fittings
Expansion loops and elbows are factory manufactured utilizing the same casing thickness and material as the straight conduit lengths. Sizing considerations permit carrier pipe thermal movement without damage to the insulation system. Glarefiber system is an excellent application with expansion joints. Oversized casing is factory manufactured and utilized whenever changes in casing size is warranted.
Field Closures
Field joints are supplied to complete the pipe installation and are applied by utilizing the furnished kit materials.
Anchors
Anchors are designed and fabricated by NOVA for resistance to system loads in accordance with applicable design codes.
Carrier Pipe
Glarefiber pre-insulated distribution piping is used in numerous applications. Accordingly, carrier pipe selection is made on a project-specific basis.
Insulation System
NOVA’s patented Glarefiber piping utilizes a specially fabricated mineral fiber insulation system, however, the filament winding process can be applied to any insulation.
Guarantee
Nova Group, Inc. guarantees for the period of one year, the materials and workmanship on its Glarefiber systems.
Note
Glarefiber features are subject to change without notice.
