This is a Task Order under Contract No. N62742-04-D-1300/1301/1302, Multiple Award Construction Contract (MACC) for the State of Hawaii of which Nova is one of three contractors authorized to bid task orders under this MACC.
The work of this task order is a combination of two separate projects combined together into a single task order. The purpose of this project is to provide a new central plant to provide ship support services to Drydocks 1 & 2 and Bravo Piers 1 & 2. The ship support services will include chilled water, high pressure air, nitrogen, oxygen and propane. Currently ships are provided services through portable rigs which involve many labor consuming processes. The project will also involve new electrical switchgear and transformer.
This project includes both Design-Bid-Build (Part A) and Design-Build (Part B) work to include:
- Design-Bid-Build ship support services piping distribution systems for approx 3,500 lf of each system: chilled water, nitrogen, high pressure air, oxygen, and propane, and installation of exterior electrical and telecom/data services.
- Design-Build the central utility plant which will hold major equipment, including chilled water pumps, air cooled chillers, high pressure air compressors, nitrogen tanks, air receivers and have space for shipyard provided portable emergency generators, chillers and high pressure air compressors.
